WELCOME, THANK YOU FOR VISITING OUR WEBSITE!

Town of Conesville, NY

Welcome to the Town of Conesville; this website is for the people, by the people.

This comprehensive resource has been created to help share our wonderful small town with the world. On these pages learn about the latest news, town meetings, places to eat, information and events, as well as the history of the area. The site has a little bit of everything with some historical snippets sprinkled throughout.

Editors note: Freedom of Speech and Transparency in Government are paramount. This website is not controlled by, nor influenced by town official’s. We will ensure facts are presented, based on science and research. We will not bend to political pressure to add or remove information on this website. Facts matter.

Furthermore, it is our opinion, as that of many, that current leadership deceives the towns people with misleading and/or false information as well as election dis-information while using bully tactics to suppress residents voices.  Unfortunately, the newly elected council persons are ‘Domestic Extremists’ and ‘Election Deniers’ in support of ‘The Big Lie’. For the aforementioned reasons they shun this independent website.

We stand for a United Conesville and a United States of America. Hate has no place here.

The first non-Native American inhabitants settled in the area during 1764. At that time it was known as Dies Manor. However is wasn’t until 1836, when parts of Durham & Broome were annexed, that Conesville was formed.  The Town of Conesville was referred to as  “The Friendly Town”.

Conesville is located in the south-east corner of Schoharie County; at the intersection of two other counties, namely: Albany and Greene. According to the history books, The Town Of Conesville is made up of three small villages, that is to say: West Conesville, (Strykersville), Conesville (Stone Bridge), and Manorkill.
